LAGUNA BEACH DAY TRIP

If you're like me, the minute you hear the words "Laguna Beach", you immediately think of LC and Kristin Cavallari. Although I never watched the show when it was airing, I did eventually jump on the bandwagon and quickly flew through the first 2 seasons.

Aside from the entertaining drama, the views and backdrops in and of itself were enough to make the show intriguing. Once I moved to LA, I realized just how close I was to Laguna and immediately wrote it down on my list of places to go for weekend get aways or day trips.

With it being just about an hour and a half away, I finally decided to take a spontaneous day trip there with a friend. The visit was mellow, mainly consisting of relaxing on the beach and downing some scrumptious acai bowls, but it was the perfect getaway. The water there is beautiful and the beaches are stunning. Although the town is busy, full of tourists and locals, there is something very quaint and simple about this little beach town, making it perfect for a peaceful getaway.

If you're only there for a quick few hours, you HAVE to stop by Banzai Bowls for the greatest acai bowl. I got the Banzai Acai Bowl that comes with a variety of scrumptious toppings like bee pollen, coconut shreds, kiwi and other fruit.

Take your bowl to go and walk across the street to watch the locals surf while you eat. Then, as you stroll up and down the streets, stop by Cottage Furnishings for all your beach house inspo needs. If you're in full on treat yo self mode, then you'll have to get yourself a new swimsuit or coverup. Naturally, this beach town is full of cute boutiques and bikini shops.

My friend and I are already planning to go back for a weekend get away full of yummy treats (SO many cute ice cream parlors) and beautiful beaches. Its on my list to visit Victoria Beach and Thousand Steps. Both popular tourist spots with good reason. I can't wait to go back and explore all the hidden trails, beaches, and little gems
