Whenever I'm making new friends or starting a new job, it doesn't take long for the people around me to notice how disciplined and well prepared I always am. Between the prepped meals everyday at work to checking off all those little errands, those around me always voice their admiration for my day to day productivity. I credit a lot of that to my inability to sit still. I like to be on the go. People are always telling me how they wish they were more like that; how they need to start planning out their days and actually crossing off all those items on their to-do list. I'm a huge advocate for living a healthy lifestyle in all aspects, physically and mentally.
Sometimes the biggest hurdle to overcome is balance. Somedays we never leave the couch and somedays we run marathons. Both are great. We hear it all the time, balance is key and its so true. There are a lot of little things I do throughout the day to make it less stressful and more enjoyable. Instead of waking up and turning on the TV right away, I play 'French Cafe' music to set the tone for a idyllic, relaxing morning, as if I'm roaming the cobblestone streets of Paris. Reality soon sets in, but it still makes for a happy morning. Sometimes the littlest things can make a huge difference in your day and a massive difference in your week. Eliminating stress is the best thing you can do for yourself and planning is the best way to achieve that. Below are 10 things I do routinely to make the most of my days.

Start your morning with lemon water and a healthy breakfast. I know this isn't the first time you're hearing this. Just do it and your body will thank you.
Lay out your outfit for work the night before. This is something I have done my whole life, which may be a bit ridiculous for someone who spent 12 years of her life wearing a uniform, but its still a time saver.
Pack your gym bag the night before. Pack your bag and prepare yourself to hit the gym right after work or early in the morning. Again, its nice not having to scramble looking for socks as you're flying out the door.
Meal prep on Sundays. I prep my snacks in baggies, make my lunches and dinners and even fill a whole jug of flavored water so when I get home from a long day, the work is already done.
Take care of laundry over the weekend. Knock it out while you're cooking and meal prepping.
Start each morning off by making a To-Do list. I try to get to work 10 minutes early and get situated and then make my list of errands and notes for the day/week.
Get active. Whether its the gym, Kayla Itsines 30 min workout, or walking the dogs. The hardest part is getting started, but no one ever regrets a workout.
Get fresh air - grab a latte, matcha tea, etc. Just get outside and feel the sun for a moment.
Call your parents- Talking to mom whether it be via text or on the phone always makes me feel better even if I'm already in a good mood.
Treat yourself - come home to fresh flowers, take a bubble bath, light some candles, enjoy a snack.
