VINTAGE TEES

There are two things I can never have enough of and thats vintage tees and summer dresses. The older I get, the more I realize how quickly I acquire so much stuff I never use or never needed to begin with. The past few months, I've dedicated a lot of time to purging things I never use or never wear. A few weekends ago, I was able to give away 6 garbage bags worth of clothes, shoes, accessories, etc.

It felt so good getting rid of all those items that were taking up so much space in my closet. Now, I'm trying to be much more conscious about the things I buy, especially when it comes to clothing. It's easy to spend $60+ on clothing from Forever21 that is cheap quality versus the ONE $60 dress from elsewhere that you really love. I'm trying to focus on quality over quantity and really invest in pieces I'll wear time and time again. One of the things on that list is vintage tees.

I love pairing vintage t-shirts with jeans, skirts, sweats, etc. I bought this tee, along with another one, from Brandy Melville just this past month and have already worn them numerous times. Moral of the story: sometimes its best to invest in slightly more expensive pieces that you LOVE and slowly, you'll curate a closet you're obsessed with. I'm excited to somewhat clean out my closet and start from scratch. While there are so many pieces I know I want to get my hands on, I realize its a slow process and week by week, I'll slowly be able to add pieces that I know I'll wear for a long time.
