FLEA MARKETS AND GINGHAM DRESSES

There is nothing I love more than Sunday morning. Especially when said morning is filled with flea markets and catching up with girlfriends, talking all things feminism. I love feeling refreshed and energized come Sunday morning, something that comes as a direct result of staying in Saturday night with a good movie and some "treat yo self" takeout. I always joke that I'm an 80 year old trapped in a 20 year old's body, but it's so true. While I love to explore, I definitely would agree I'm quite the homebody. I'd much rather host a cute girls dinner in than go out and spend the night drinking and kissing my money goodbye. I'm all about morning and day dates; I love to be outside and take advantage of the sunshine so having friends who are on the same page always makes things easier.
While I'm 100% ready for fall fashion, I was excited to whip out this gingham dress from Brandy Melville before the weather cooled down. The gingham trend came in strong this summer and I was pleasantly surprised by it. Initially, I felt like I looked like a picnic table, but I quickly embraced the feeling and decided to go all out with this stripped straw bag from Target.

Also, these black suede sandals from DSW are quickly becoming a favorite of mine. While they may not be as transitional for those who actually experience a winter season, I have every intention of wearing them throughout the fall season here in LA.

This is what I actually look like 99% of the time and anyone who takes my pictures can vouch for me. Per usual, my hair got stuck to something. This time it was a twig on the wall. Little do you know, while I'm frantically trying to untangle the mess that is my hair, there is one blogger to my right, squatting and posing down low like a boss. To my left is another blogger with a full on camera crew, effortlessly posing for pictures. Then there is me, stuck to the wall while my friend takes pictures on her iPhone. Its easy to play the comparison game and wish I had a professional photographer to snap some killer pictures, but thats not my situation and thats okay. We had a good laugh and I cheered on the girls beside me as they were crushing it.
