BELL SLEEVES AND MESSY BUNS

Even though I've been living in LA for almost 2 years now, I still can't get used to the weather here. It feels so strange to be wearing a jean skirt and sandals in the middle of October. Part of me loves it, but part of me is really itching for a change in temperature.

While I easily could still get away with tube tops and short sleeves, I refuse to still dress for summer. I decided to pair my jean skirt with a ribbed bell sleeve top to work with the transitioning seasons. Lately, I've been really drawn to playing with different silhouettes even if they're as simple as a bell sleeve. The sleeve detailing adds a little eye-catching edge and pairs perfectly with my suede black sandals.

In true Messybun Blonde fashion, I threw my hair up in a low messy bun. I've never been one to pay much time to styling my hair. Having lived with long hair my entire life, I always got creative with braids and buns so as to not have to spend hours blow drying, straightening or curling it. I also just love how effortlessly cool a classic messy bun looks.

One of my favorite things to do in LA is simply walking around and discovering new restaurants, boutiques, and coffee shops. There's so much to see, but often overlooked when so much time is spent driving from one place to another. I spend a lot of mornings and evenings strolling down Melrose Ave., grabbing coffee and admiring all the high end fashion brands along the way, mentally picking out my favorite outfits on display.

However, one of the best hidden gems I've come across on Melrose Ave. would have to be the rooftop at Restoration Hardware. Aside from all the incredible home decor on display, anyone is welcome to make their way to the rooftop and enjoy the views. People will go up there to read, work, nap, eat, etc. It's such a beautiful and relaxing atmosphere, especially come sunset.
